                   Suliformes


SULIDAE

Only two species in Argentina. Dive from the air. Coastal. Gregarious. Pico robust, straight. Webbed feet. Long thin wings. Acute Cola.

They feed mainly on fish. Do not nest in our country.
 


PHALACROCORACIDAE               

    There are in Argentina 6 species of cormorants. They are coastal waterfowl and / or inland waters. Gregarious. Dip and dive very well. Soils are in the sun with their wings open. The beak is long and straight, with apical hook. Long Neck. Upright posture. Long-Cola, rigid. Short legs with four toes webbed.

They feed mainly on fish. Nesting in rocks or trees in cologne.


 ANHINGIDAE
  
    A single species in our country. They seem cormorants neck and tail longer. They live inland, preferably where there are trees. They feed on fish to which ensartan with his long, thin beak.


FREGATIDAE                               FAMILY DID NOT PAMPEANA

A single species in Argentina. Seabirds large, long, pointed wings. Long tail. Long, straight beak apical hook. The males have inflatable gular pouch.
The feet have four toes webbed. Rarely land on the water. Do not swim or dive.

They feed on fish they catch stealing them in flight to other seabirds. They nest in colonies in shrubs or low trees, located in tropical seashores.
