Patagonian Coast

To know this region, we recommend to
leave from Puerto Madryn, visiting Valdes Peninsula and then in the south, until
Puerto Deseado in the Province of Santa Cruz.
The
coastal sub-region belongs to the ecoregion of Mar Argentino. It includes the
coasts and beaches around.
In this area there are a number of sea bird species, to nest or rest. Some of
them nest in big colonies, in beaches of boulders or in cliffs.
It
is also visited by colonies of marine
mammals, like sea elephants or sea wolfs.
From
the coast we can watch the amazing right whale.
From the seaboard, we can cross the Patagonian steppe to walk across the
ecoregion of Araucanian Forest.
