Species with several taxonomic changes recently.
Species is now considered fully by the SACC (South American Classification Committee). Some authors even consider it a
subspecies of the Oustalet's Cinclodes (Cinclodes oustaleti) and classified as Cinclodes oustaleti olrogi.
It is endemic to the Pampa de Achala.
