Sterna sandvicensis (Sandwich Tern) conespecíficos with S. eurygnatha, while
others give priority to specific name on sandvicensis eurygnatha, including both
as Sterna sandvicensis.
ROYAL TERN:
Thalasseus maximus
It inhabits the Argentine coastline. The photograph was taken on the coasts to the Chubut province.
ELEGANT TERN:
Sterna elegans
It inhabits the Chilean
coast, the Pacific Ocean. Similar to S. maximum.
Somewhat smaller.
Immigration from North americas. It has recently been observed on the coast
Argentine sea, on the coast of Buenos Aires. The photo that was included
taken in Puerto Deseado and it could be this species.
