MAGELLANIC OYSTERCATCHER: Haematopus leucopodus

      
    
    Similar to American Oystercatcher, with whom he lives. Head, back,black wings and chest.
     Yellow lid. The white area that separates the chest from foldedwing is less noticeable.
    The all white schools, give a different wing design that sets it apartin flight
   of H.palliatus. Inhabits southern seashores and lagoons. The juvenile and a bit darker iris.
