    CRACIDAE

    Guan. Six species in Argentina. Tree and land. Long-Cola. Alas wide and rounded. Head small. Zone gular naked. Beak as hen. Long Neck.

They feed on seeds, fruits and insects. Nest in trees and placed two to four egg whites.


    ODONTOPHORIDAE       FAMILY DID NOT PAMPEANA

    Quail. Two species in Argentina. Terrestrial. Beak , neck, wings, legs and short tail.
Body robust. Group. Walk among the vegetation. Flight low.

They feed on vegetable matter. Nest in the ground where they put up to 14 eggs spotted.
 


    PHASIANIDAE       FAMILY INTRODUCED

    Pheasants. A species in Argentina, entered. Terrestrial. Beak , neck, short legs and wings. Long-Cola.
Male colorful, especially in the feathers of the head, neck and tail. Female with more muted tones.

They are granivorous. Nest in the ground where they put up to 20 eggs.
