    COLUMBIDAE

    Pigeon. Dove. Generally grayish. Body robust. Head small. Beak thin, with short wax at the base. Neck short. Wings long, acute. Legs short. Way. Flight noisy. Murmur.
     Nest in trees, bushes and even on the floor. Place 2 egg whites. They feed on grains, fruits and seeds.

        CHILEAN PIGEON: Patagioenas araucana

 Inhabits valleys, plantations and villages. Expanding to the south, recently seen in Argentina. Pacific Dove (Zenaida asiatica) resembles that spans North America and the Caribbean.
