       CARIAMIDAE    NO FAMILY PAMPEANA

    Seriemas. Family exclusive South americas with only two species. They are ratites, terrestrial, long legs with short fingers . Beak short, with a plume front. Neck and long tail. Alas rounded.

     They feed on reptiles, birds, insects, small mammals and batrachians. Nest in trees. They spotted two or three eggs. Frequent mountains and jungles.
