                    Accipitriformes


   PANDIONIDAE

   Osprey. Cosmopolitan species, the sole representative of the family. Some authors include it in the family Accipitridae. Beak and strong legs with claws well suited to capture and move large fish.

They feed on fish they catch from the air, coming forward with his claws. They are migratory and do not nest in our country


    ACCIPITRIDAE

    Eagles, Hawks and Kites. Raptors daytime flying fast and upright posture. The coloration is modest and often difficult to identify the various stages of coloration and by the intermediate plumage of youth. The Beak is short, very curved, with straight edges and colored wax. They have claws. The wings are long. The female is slightly larger than the male.

    They feed on reptiles, batrachians, birds and mammals. They build the nest in trees, rocks or soil. Placement of 1 to 5 eggs usually stained.
